TRANSPORTATION NEWS AND VIEWS FROM DJC CONSULTING
Shipping parcels to or from the USA with an IDRC carrier member has never been easier. Whether you are a large parcel shipper or have only an occasional shipment using our carriers is cost effective.
Smaller shippers with individual shipments can use the services of Canpar Transport. Canpar will pickup, arrange customs clearance and delivery to all US destinations with a single door to door transportation charge. Tracking parcels has never been easier with all information available by computer.
Larger volume shippers have an opportunity to use the services of A.N. Deringer whose transportation program will facilitate the seamless movement of goods to and from the United States. Deringer is well positioned to serve the needs of IDRC members with strategically located customs offices and warehouses across the entire northern border from Montreal to Vancouver, and Deringer’s dedicated fleet will pick up merchandise within Canada and move it to border locations for redistribution by UPS or FedEx. Sameday customs clearance is available.
Consider consolidating several orders destined to the US on a single skid and have Deringer move the consolidated skid to the border. Pay a single customs entry for the consolidated shipment (instead of individual shipments) and then redistribute your individual orders on your own personal US account with UPS or Fedex or utilize Deringer’s UPS or Fedex account from their distribution centers at discounts up to 18%. Tracking is simple with computer look up.
